About Me

Leah Najimy was born in the hills of Savoy, Massachusetts in 2002. She grew up surrounded by music whether that be playing piano or singing with her mom at home, at church, or while helping with the sugaring process of the maple trees in her backyard. She made her solo debut at the age of nine when she sang ‘Walking in the Air’ by Peter Auty at the Berkshire Homeschool Choir Concert. This began her transition from exploring the forest hills around her to exploring the intricacies of music. Years later, after learning to love singing for the group, she helped teach the younger class of kids. In 2013, she joined the Berkshire Lyric Children’s choir, a local community choir, where at the age of fourteen, Leah was invited to the company’s Choral Scholar program. She took lessons through this program for four years, learning the art of singing light arias and German art song. In 2020, she began attending Berkshire Community College amid all the chaos of COVID-19, while studying classical voice with Marjorie Dix at the Berkshire Music School. She also was part of the BCC Jazz ensemble where she learned to sing contemporary styles. In 2021, Leah transferred to Bob Jones University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a minor in German Language. At Bob Jones, she studies opera and art song and sings with the BJU Chorale and BJU Chamber Choir. Visit the videos page to hear some of her work!
